During Friday’s meeting, the Polish government approved a new national security strategy. The government spokesman Adam Szlapka informed that this is a framework document determining the direction for all state institutions. This is reported by Warsaw TASR rapporteur, according to PAP.
The strategy contains four main priorities: the inviolability of the territory, the preservation of independence, the safety of citizens And the state and sustainable development together with the favorable formation of the security system from the perspective of the state.
Strategic objectives include the development of the general defense system, strengthening the ability to influence international order, especially through NATO and European Union policy in accordance with Polish security interests. The document further sets the need to strengthen the economic and technological potential, demographic security and environmental protection.
Szlapka recalled that This is the first strategy update since 2020. He stressed that the document was created in cooperation with the National Security Office (BBN) and should be a guide for the activities of state security authorities.
