The Socialist Group in the Andalusian Parliament against the Andalusian Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines, Jorge Paradela, whom he has denounced before the Andalusian office against fraud and corruption for “omitting relevant information in his statements of activities and goods” in the Transparency Portal of the Junta de Andalucía.

The complaint was recorded this Thursday, July 24, and is signed by the 30 deputies of the Socialist Group, headed by its spokesman, María Márquez. Paradela, who is independent, joined the Executive in July 2022 after the elections that the Andalusian President, Juan Manuel Moreno, won by absolute majority a month earlier. Until then, his entire career had developed it in private activity in the multinational beer Heineken and the year prior to his appointment as a counselor, since June 2021, he was General Business Director of Sevilla FC.

Socialists since March 17, 2014, being part of the Governing Council. But both the multinational and the commercial registry recognized that it was an error outside the Minister of Industry, so the accusation of incompatibility was deflated. However, this group has presented numerous parliamentary initiatives and, which has not yet issued any resolution.

The PSOE ensures that the Andalusian industry manager did not present his 2021 IRPF statement in the Transparency Portal, year prior to his appointment, as obliges the Law of Incompatibilities, although that of 2017. And he also asked for his Declaration of IRPF of Exercise 2023 for the difference between his public salary (70,535.7 euros) and the computable income received as a computable income received as a job 443,277.85 euros. Paradela itself explained that these differences come from “the professional activity exercised prior to its appointment, in the form of prorated remuneration for three annuities”, corresponding to 2021, 2022 and 2023.

In the brief submitted to the Anti -Fraud office, the Socialist Group considers that this private remuneration, which is appearing in its income statements, “should have been reflected in detail in the corresponding statements of interest and activities, whose public accessibility is essential for the control of possible situations of incompatibility.” He adds that the professional link with Sevilla FC is also not included in the Registry of Activities, Goods and Interests.

Of all this, the socialists argue that “there are reasonable indications” that the Minister of Industry has violated the regime of incompatibilities for “omitting relevant information in their statements of activities and goods, maintaining a registration appearance of corporate linking incompatible with its public office, receiving private retributions without clear identification or documentary justification in administrative headquarters, and for the lack of publication in the Portal of Transparency (Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía) of the updated statements of activities, goods and heritage variation ”.

In the opinion of the PSOE, these supposed omissions “may constitute serious or very serious infractions” of the Law of Incompatibilities.
