Investigators of the triple murder in the Bavarian town of Zwiesel, to which 37-year-old Slovak Martin L. confessed, assume that the victims died a few weeks before their bodies were found. On Friday after the autopsy, the police in Straubing and the Prosecutor’s Office in Deggendorf announced this, informs TASR referring to the DPA and Passauer Neue Press.

According to the first results of the bodies inspection, a 26-year-old woman was first killed at the end of June at the Zwiesel apartment building, who reported on July 10 as missing. The other two victims, a 56-year-old man and his 22-year-old partner, reported as missing on July 21, were probably killed in mid-July.

Detention in Austria

A Slovak who confessed to the murders was detained on Sunday in the Austrian city of Linz, where he was found under the influence of alcohol and disoriented near the railway station. However, during the initial inspection of rooms that were not locked, the bodies of his alleged victims were not found, which the police justified by being crowded with various waste.

It was only after reporting the missing of a 22-year-old woman until then inaccessible apartment on Monday evening the police forcibly opened and discovered the body of a 56-year-old man.

Finding bodies and suspicions

According to the investigators, the apartment was subsequently found hidden bodies of both women. Some parts were separated from one body that were found in the shrubs on the edge of Zwiesel near the cycle route leading to Frauenau.

How the suspect murdered his victims is not yet known. However, cutting wounds and traces of strokes were found on the bodies. Investigators believe that the Slovak was murdered by himself.

Psychiatric Department

After detaining the Slovak, the Slovak was placed at the Psychiatric Department of the Hospital in Linz. It has not been determined when it will be released to Germany. In the meantime, the investigators have pre -detained another person, but the suspicion has not been confirmed.

The house where there was a triple murder was described by the locals as problematic, because there were often quarrels and physical struggles related to alcohol, as well as disruption of public order.
