Flamengo player is investigated for forcing a yellow card in play against Santos; Judge rejects the part of the complaint that accused the athlete of Estelionato
The Federal District Court decided on Friday (25.Jul.2025) to make defendant the striker Bruno Henrique, Flamengo, for the accusation of defrauding the result of sports competition.
The decision was issued by Judge Fernando Brandini Barbagalo of the 7th Criminal Court of Brasilia. The magistrate partially accepted the complaint filed by the prosecutor against the athlete. He would be involved in a betting manipulation scheme on the internet.
Despite making the defendant striker, the judge rejected the part of the complaint that accused Bruno Henrique from Estelionato and the prosecutors’ request that the player was forced to pay $ 2 million.
The player is investigated for forcing a yellow card in the game against Santos, in the Brazilian Championship of 2023, in Brasilia, to benefit from him who made bets. In addition to the athlete, friends and family were also investigated.
