The former minister of the Civil House confirms that he will be a candidate for federal deputy for next year. “I had a conversation with the president and is decided,” he told the panel without specifying when it was contact with the president.

Revoked by the House in 2005, after the scandal of the monthly, Dirceu had been thinking of disputing parliamentary mandate as a form of “historical reparation” for the loss of the mandate, which he considers to have been an injustice

as a way to reinforce the PT bench in the House.

Dirceu now states that he is determined to return to the Legislature, and must be one of the party’s bets as a vote handle in Sao Paulo.

In the same spirit of electorally reinforcing the PT, the former minister defends, whether state or Senate government.

“There is no escape. We have to go with the best of our field. [Geraldo] Alckmin has no way of taking from the vice, and in the case of Haddad we have to wait a while to see what the best way, if government or Senate, “says Dirceu.

According to him, anticipating the succession debate is now not in the government’s interest, as this could disrupt the construction of a front to resist the threats of the Donald Trump government.
