The Senator (-RJ) attacked, on Thursday (25), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, (Supreme Federal Court), by saying that he is not “in his mental faculties” and needs compulsory hospitalization.
Moraes is a rapporteur of inquiries who have Bolsonaro and his allies as a target. And last week, he ordered a series of precautionary measures against the former president, and the ban on speaking to his son (PL-SP) for the parliamentary’s performance in the United States for sanctions to Brazilian authorities.
“[Moraes] It has a sentence ready long before you start. I think Alexandre de Moraes does need professional help. It is not in its normal mental faculties, I think he needs compulsory hospitalization, “he said in an interview with Paulo Cappelli’s column on the Metrópoles Portal.
“He is a person who is obsessed with Bolsonaro, and runs over the constitution all the time to achieve his goal of arresting Bolsonaro. Do you know that guy who is addicted to crack?”
Flávio was on vacation in Europe with his family, when Moraes ordered the precautionary measures against his father a week ago. He anticipated the return and arrived on Thursday (24) to Brasilia. On the same day, earlier, he filed an impeachment in the Senate against Moraes, alleging abuse of authority against the former president, citing the anklet episode.
He said he was still sure that the right will return to power in 2027 “regardless of what the name is,” but if God willing, he will be.
Minister Alexandre de Moraes was sought through the STF’s staff, but did not respond to the senator’s speech.
In an interview with Sheet In June, the former president’s eldest son said that to receive the support of his father, the presidential candidate should not only grant pardon to his father, but fight with the Supreme for it, if necessary.
Which can condemn Bolsonaro for the coup plot, Flavio insists on his father’s candidacy in 2026, but already talks more openly about a scenario without him – and about the main credential for a possible successor.
