Bus drivers now deal with the constant fear of attacks. In several cities in the state of São Paulo, such as Baixada Santista and ABC Paulista, cases of criminals throwing stones at bus have become frequent. In an earlier incident, a passenger was hit in the face by a stone, resulting in serious injuries and the need for surgery. The Civil Police and the mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes, say that those responsible for such acts will be indicted for attempted murder.
