Almost 350 kilos of cocaine, which were likely to Southeast Asia, were seized by the São Paulo Military Police on Friday (25). The bricks of the narcotic were packed with the inscription of Hong Kong, the administrative region of China.
In Southeast Asia, the value of the kilo of the drug can reach $ 80,000-with the total seized, it is estimated that criminals could earn $ 28 million.
The flagrant took place in Miracatu, in the Ribeira Valley, in southern São Paulo. “The agents patrolled the south coast region when they suspected four men gathered around some vehicles,” according to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP).
With the presence of the police, the quartet “acted suspiciously” and fled the scene. Subsequently, the criminal appointed as responsible for transporting the drug was arrested, as well as a second member.
The Military Police seized:
- 317 cocaine bricks
- 12 vests
- 11 waterproof bags
- Four vehicles
- 2 bags with bladders
The investigation points out that the drugs would be transported by vehicles to a port, where bladder bags would be used to pack the narcotic, which would embark on a ship.
The two prisoners were taken to the public jail. The case was registered as drug trafficking, location and seizure of vehicles, and association for trafficking at the municipal police station.
