President Donald Trump played golf on Saturday 26, on his field on Scotland, while protesters across the country took to the streets to condemn his visit and accuse the UK leaders of “flattering” the American.
Trump and his son Eric played with the American ambassador in Britain, Warren Stephens, near Turnberry, a historic field that the Trump family company took over in 2008. Hundreds of protesters gathered on the street of parallelepids and wooded in front of the American consulate, about 160 kilometers away in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.
Speakers on a makeshift stage told the crowd that Trump was not welcome and criticized British Prime Minister Keir Stmerr for closing a recent commercial agreement to avoid US strict tariffs on UK-imported products.

Protests have been planned in other cities, with environmental activists, Israel’s war opponents with Hamas in Gaza and Pro-Ucroan groups vaguely forming a “Parem Trump coalition.”
“I think there are too many countries feeling the pressure of Trump and they feel they have to accept it, but we should not accept it here,” said Juna Osbourne, 52, photographer and photo historian from Edinburgh who protested wearing a red and white hooded cover, reminding the AIA tale. Osbourne was holding a photo of Trump with “resist” stamped on his face.
The American double citizen said the Republican President was “the worst thing that happened to the world, the US, in decades.”

Saturday’s protests were not even as large as the crowds that came out of Scotland when Trump played at the resort during his first term in 2018.
But bags played, people shouted “Trump out!” And they raised home signs that said “no red carpet for dictators,” “we don’t want you here” and “Stop Trump. Migrants are welcome.”
A dog had a sign that said “no snacks for tyrants.”

Some far -right representatives went to social networks to convene meetings by supporting Trump in places like Glasgow. Arriving in Scotland on Friday night, Trump scolded European leaders for not repressing immigration. “This immigration is killing Europe,” he said.
“You better organize yourself,” said Trump. “You won’t have Europe anymore.”

At 79 and back to the White House, Trump arrives in Scotland while his family’s business prepares for the opening of August 13 of a new golf course with his name. The trip demonstrates how the president has become increasingly comfortable to mix his government activities with the promotion of his family’s commercial interests.
Trump will be in Scotland until Tuesday and plans to discuss trade with British Prime Minister Keir Strmer and the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
The Aberdeen area already houses another of its fields, Trump International Scotland, and the Republican president is also visiting a Trump field near Turnberry, about 320 kilometers away from the southwest coast of Scotland. Trump said on arrival on Friday night that his son “will cut a ribbon” for the new field during his trip.

The White House ruled out questions about potential conflicts of interest, arguing that Trump’s commercial success before entering politics was fundamental to his appeal with voters. White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers called the passage through the “work trip,” but added that Trump “built the best and most beautiful world-class golf fields anywhere in the world.”
Trump’s new golf course is already selling game schedules actively. “We are at a point where the Trump government is so intertwined with the Trump business that it doesn’t seem to see much difference,” said Jordan Libowitz, vice president of the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington Ethics Surveillance Organization.
During its first term, Trump Organization signed an ethical pact by banning business with foreign companies. An ethical structure for Trump’s second term allows them.

Trump is not the first acting American president to play golf in Scotland. This was Dwight D. Eisenhower, who played on Turnberry in 1959. George W. Bush visited the famous field in Gleneagles in 2005, but did not play.
