The announcement was made after a telephone conversation between British Prime Minister Keir Stmerer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. “The prime minister explained how the United Kingdom will also implement plans to collaborate with partners such as Jordan to launch air aid and evacuate children who need medical care,” a Downing Street statement said.

The day before, Paris, Berlin and London asked the Israeli government to “immediately raise restrictions on sending help.” Israel faces growing international pressure due to serious humanitarian situation in Palestinian territory. In late May, the Israeli government partially suspended the total blockade imposed in Gaza in early March. More than two million residents face great difficulties in accessing food, medicines and other essential products.

According to the world food program, the UN agency responsible for food aid, approximately one third of the inhabitants of the track spends days without eating. An Israeli employee told AFP on Friday that humanitarian aid air deliveries would be resumed rapidly in Gaza, a territory devastated by more than 21 months of war and threatened by hunger. These deliveries should be made “under the coordination of the United Arab Emirates and Jordan,” he said on anonymity.
