The federal deputy (PL-SC) charged on Friday (25) that the president of, (-PB), vote, after visiting two women arrested in the South Penitentiary, in Criciúma (SC), for participation in the attacks.
The two women were sentenced to 17 years in prison for crimes of attempted coup, armed criminal association, qualified damage, and deterioration of listed heritage.
In Zanatta’s assessment, penalties are disproportionate and result from a process “marked by excess, centered on the Federal Supreme Court, which ignores basic rights guaranteed by the criminal enforcement law.”
The deputy cites the case of one of the prisoners, Camila Mendonça Marques, who would suffer from a serious illness with an official report issued by the penitentiary itself. “We will denounce this violation of human rights in all possible instances,” says the parliamentarian.
“The criminal execution law is not being enforced. Alexandre de Moraes has centralized the lawsuits in Brasilia and prevents these women from having access to benefits that even criminals convicted of murder can obtain.”
Zanatta took the opportunity to charge the amnesty vote from Motta. “While the mayor, Hugo Motta, omits and refuses to guide the amnesty project, women continue to be treated as very dangerous criminals, even when they could be home, fulfilling alternative measures,” he criticizes.
“The House of Representatives must have the courage to face this injustice. It is not possible for the people’s house to shut up in the face of such glaring violations.”
