The Brazilian Volleyball team beat Japan in the League of Nations semifinal, played on Saturday (26), in Lodz, Poland, and will face Italy, current Olympic champion and the tournament, in the title decision.
The Brazilian team made 3 sets to 2 (23/25, 25/21, 25/18, 19/25 and 15/9) about the Japanese team, which, in the 2024 edition of the championship, eliminated Brazil, also in the semifinal.
The match began with the advantage of Japan, which even opened seven points and won the first set, but Brazil then reacted – the Gabi tip was the biggest highlight of the match, with 25 points scored.
The Brazilian team took the lead in the second set and maintained control of the game in the third partial. Japan filed a court on the fourth set and tied the 2-2 match.
In Tie-Break, Brazil started with high intensity and scored five points in sequence, the advantage that the team managed to manage until the end to seal the victory and secure the place in the decision.
The final of the Women’s Volleyball League will be played this Sunday (27) at 15h of Brasilia. Brazil seeks its first title in the tournament, which was played in 2018.
The Brazilian team was runner-up in 2019, 2021 and 2022-this year, after losing the final to Italy.
