At 65, the protagonist of a career that went, besides music, for the representation, accepted the invitation of DNA and enters the local race in the capital.
The singer Adelaide Ferreira will be the candidate of the National Democratic Alternative (DNA) to the Lisbon City Council.
The news was advanced by and confirmed by the party president through social networks.
“I want to thank Adelaide Ferreira to have accepted the invitation of DNA to maintain the fight against globalism,” wrote Bruno Fialho, in a Facebook post.
Speaking to the newspaper, the president of DNA says Adelaide Ferreira “fully shares the values of the DNA”.
Author of various successes throughout her career, the singer represented Portugal at the 1985 Eurovision Festival, with the theme “I think of you, I know”.
At 65 and after a career dedicated essentially to music, but also to representation, Adelaide Ferreira now seeks a new “lead role” in politics.
