The president of Alesp (Legislative Assembly of), André do Prado (), rejected two requests for against the governor (Republicans) for affront to national sovereignty and support to the president, amid tariff.
Both requests were moved by PSOL this July. Last week’s most recent, he was signed by the five deputies of the Alesp bench and accused the governor of publicly supported Trump attacks against Brazil and acted to “favor the former president’s escape (PL), investigated by the Supreme Court (STF) for attempted coup.

According to the president of Alesp, who is an ally of Tarcisio and in a possible reelection to the state government, Trump support posts were released by the governor before the announcement of the tariff and there is no evidence that he would have sought STF ministers in favor of Bolsonaro.
Also on Friday, André do Prado rejected the impeachment request made by Deputy Ediane Maria (PSOL) on July 9 for the support of the governor to Trump and for supposedly “inciting the population against the judiciary”. At the time, the governor had said that Bolsonaro “must be tried only by the Brazilian people during the elections.”
“The mere opinion or political criticism, by itself, does not have the ability to deeply reach the very essence of the Brazilian State or endanger its national sovereignty,” wrote the President of the Assembly.
