Federal Deputy José Guimarães (PT-CE), government leader in the Chamber of Deputies, was hospitalized on Sunday (27) in a hospital in São Paulo, where he will undergo a surgical procedure in the heart next Monday (28).
“I thank you for the affection, prayers and understanding of all and all. As soon as possible, I come back with good news,” he wrote on his social networks.
In June, the parliamentarian had already reported that he was performing a preoperative for a “heart intervention”, and that the procedure would take place earlier this month.
Guimarães also confirmed that he is in the Syrian-Lebanese hospital and that the surgery will be conducted by the team of Dr. Roberto Kalil and Dr. Fábio Jatene.
