Javier Milei’s government reported on Monday that Argentina began the process to obtain visa exemption for its citizens to enter the United States through the program known as Visa Waiver Program.
A statement between the two countries was signed to accept Argentina again on its visa exemption program, the National Security Department (DHS for its) reported in a statement.
The decision was announced during the visit to Argentina of the Department’s Secretariat, Kristi Noem, who met with Argentina’s ultraliberal president, Javier Milei, a declared ally from the United States.

Legacy Card: Far beyond a service

“Under the leadership of President Javier Milei, Argentina is becoming an even stronger friend of the United States,” Noem signaled in the press release.
“This statement of intent (…) highlights our solid covenant with Argentina and our mutual desire to promote legal travel and, at the same time, dissuade the threats,” he added.
The statement points out that the inclusion in the program is not automatic and depends on the fulfillment by Argentina on strict international standards in its migratory procedures.
