Between 9-14 August, the Marisco Festival is back to Olhão, promising six nights full of animation, fresh seafood and live music in the Jardim Pescador View, along with the emblematic Ria Formosa. This year’s edition bets, once again, in a luxury poster with renowned national and international artists.
According to a statement issued by the municipality of Olhão, organizer of the event in partnership with the Fesnima municipal company, “Summer Algarve comes to life with a luxury poster that brings together some of the biggest names in national and international music”.
Music for all tastes
The program starts on August 9 with the band Dama, known for their radio hits and energetic performances. It follows, on the 10th, Nininho Vaz Maia, who will bring to the stage his themes marked by the soul and the characteristic rhythm of his sound.
On August 11, the unavoidable Xutos & Pontapés take to the stage, on a night that promises to revisit great Portuguese rock classics. The next day, August 12, it is Ivandro’s turn to delight the audience with his distinctive voice and themes that have marked the new generation of national music.
The 13th will be dominated by Richie Campbell, one of reggae’s biggest names in Portugal, ensuring a dance night to the sound of well -known successes of the public. In ending the festival, on August 14, the Brazilian group is less, more, phenomenon of the modern pagoda, brings an explosion of joy to the enclosure.
Flavors from the sea to the table
The event remains true to its gastronomic identity, offering a vast selection of fresh shellfish and typical dishes of the region, in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
“The Seafood Festival remains one of the great gastronomic events of the Algarve,” says the municipality, noting that “it will be possible to taste the best seafood and typical dishes of the region in an ideal environment to live summer between family and friends.”
Tickets for the Marisco 2025 festival are already on sale at Ticketline and at the usual points of sale. The organization appeals to the public to ensure the access “to one of the largest summer parties in Portugal”.
With the support of several local entities, he promises him “a memorable edition, gathering music, gastronomy and conviviality in one of the most beautiful scenarios in the Algarve”.
