Leo XIV said that his ‘heart is with all those who suffer from conflicts and violence around the world’

He expressed it on Sunday (27) his concern with “the serious humanitarian situation in, where the civilian population is being crushed by and remains exposed to violence and death”, during an appeal at the end of the Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square. The American pontiff also renewed his request for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages kidnapped by the Islamic terrorist group Hamas and the “total respect for humanitarian law.”

Leo XIV stated that his “heart is with all those who suffer from conflicts and violence around the world” and also cited “people affected by confrontation on the border between Thailand and Cambodia, especially children and dislocated families” and “victims of violence in the south of Syria.”

Similarly, the Pope said that “every human being has an intrinsic dignity that was wounded to him by God himself,” so he insisted on all conflicts to “recognize her and end her every action regarding her.” The religious leader also defended “negotiating a future of peace for all peoples and rejecting everything that can harm him.” “I trust Mary, Queen of Peace, the innocent victims of conflicts and the rulers who have the power to end them,” he said.
