Sumar has announced this morning that he has reached an agreement with the PSOE to remunerate two of the eight weeks of the parental permit and immediately expand birth permit, until 17 weeks. Fuentes of the Ministry of Finance confirm the Covenant collects expanding paid permits for children from 16 to 19 weeks (adding those of birth and parental). The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced Monday that the improvement of permits will be approved tomorrow, Tuesday, in the Council of Ministers, after the pressure of adding to accelerate the measure.
With this agreement, in addition to the additional week for maternity or paternity, the last two weeks of parental permission consisting of 8 weeks that can be enjoyed flexibly until the son turns eight years old will be paid. On the other hand, monoporal families, constituted in 81% by women, will have 32 weeks in birth and care for the current 16.
The intention of adding is to approve tomorrow, Tuesday, in the Council of Ministers this agreement reached in the bosom of Government, with which they try to avoid the fine of Europe for breach of the Community Conciliation Directive, which should be transposed almost a year ago.
