Tomatoes will be a great source of potassium, vitamins A and C and lycopene, which is a strong antioxidant. Onion, in turn, works bactericidal and helps with infections. The preserves are great as an addition to sandwiches, dinner or salad. Thanks to the unique mortar, they have a pleasant and expressive taste that enlivens and adds juiciness with winter measures. Prepare tomatoes in slices for a jar in the summer to be able to enjoy them even half a year later.

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg of Roman firm tomatoes,
  • a kilo of onions,
  • Garlic head,
  • A bunch of fresh parsley.

Floods:

  • 5 liters of water,
  • 150 ml of white vinegar,
  • 160 g soli,
  • 120 g cukru.

Additionally:

  • Oil to fill jars.

Method of performance:

Peel tomatoes and onions. Cut the tomatoes into slices about 1.5 cm thick, and the onion into slices about 0.5 cm thick.

Wash and sterilize the jars. Place a few parsley leaves at the bottom and spread the crushed garlic cloves evenly.

Put a few slices of onions at the bottom, then put on the slices of tomatoes to half the height of the jar and place a few slices of onions again. Put the tomatoes and a slices of onions on Wierch. Spread evenly the remaining parsley.

Mix water, salt and sugar in a large pot. Heat, stirring constantly, until the ingredients are dissolved. Take the pot off the heat and pour the salt.

Pour the hot pickle into the jars up to the very edge. At the very top, pour a tablespoon of oil, which will prevent the preparations from being spoiled. The jars are tightly.

Put the jars in a pot linted with a linen cloth and cook slowly for about 10-15 minutes. Take them out of the pot and put them on the countertop, upside down. Cool.

Store tomatoes in a cool and dark place – they are ready to eat after 2 days. Use within 6 months.
