Ibaneis Rocha justified the closure of the Three Powers Square as a preventive action

The minister of the Federal Supreme Court () made a significant decision to order the removal of camps of supporters of the former president in the emblematic square of the three powers. This measure was a central discussion between the governor of the Federal District, and the vice presidency of the Republic. During a meeting with the vice president and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Ibaneis addressed not only the rates announced by, but also the recent protest of liberal party parliamentarians in front of the STF, who spoke against the restrictions imposed on Bolsonaro.

Ibaneis Rocha justified the closing of the Three Powers Square as a preventive action designed to avoid possible future problems. “We were in a very delicate moment, because we are having Moto Week here. We know that most of these motorcyclists are right-wing, linked to former President Bolsonaro.” The governor emphasized that the surroundings of the square had as its main objective to ensure safety, especially in the face of uncertainty about the existence of a coordinated movement to attract more people to the place.

Ibaneis Rocha’s decision is in line with Minister Alexandre de Moraes’s determination to ban camps near the Supreme Court. The governor stressed that the removal of bars around the square of the three powers will be a theme to be discussed with the Federal District Public Security Bureau. He indicated that an official announcement on the subject should be done soon, signaling the continuity of dialogue between the authorities to ensure order and security in the region.
