Extraordinary paragraphs with 6 planets: when it takes place and how it influences us

Near the middle of August, about an hour before the east, we will be able to see a rare alignment of planets: Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, Neptun and Saturn. The first four planets are visible to the naked eye, and for Uranus and Neptune you will need a small binocular or telescope.

What is a planetary alignment?

The planetary alignment is an astronomical term which means that several planets are on the same side of the sun, in a close position in the sky.
The “parade of planets” is a colloquial term that designates, in a broad sense, that several planets can be observed in the sky the same night.

6 planets in alignment of August 10, 2025

Look for a great planetary alignment on the morning of August 10, 2025! About an hour before the sunrise, six planets – Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, Neptune and Saturn – will be aligned with the sky.

Four of them (Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn) will be easily visible with the naked eye. To see Uranus and Neptune, you will need a binocular or small telescope.

Do not miss this rare opportunity to see six planets at once in the sky! The next similar opportunity will be only at the end of February 2026. In addition, the warm summer mornings in the northern hemisphere are ideal for observing the sky.

And one more thing – the rain of Perseid meteor, one of the most spectacular of the year, will reach the peak in the same period. So, as you follow the planets, pay attention to the “falling stars”!

Details about each planet:

Mercury (magnitude 1.9) will be halfway to the highest separation from the sun. The last one will rise and will be closest to the sun, visibly above the eastern horizon, in the constellation Cancer.
Jupiter (Magnitude -1.9), the second brightest planet, will be above the sky, in the constellation of the twins.
Venus (magnitude -3.9) will be very bright, also in twins. On August 12, Venus and Jupiter will be at the slightest distance from each other – only 0 ° 52 ′, close enough to cover both with the small finger stretched.
Uranus (Magnitude 5.7) It will be in Taurus, and although it can be theoretically seen with the naked eye in perfectly dark sky conditions, the binocula will be of great help.
Neptune (magnitude 7.8), located in fish, will be very weak and require at least one powerful binocular.
Saturn (magnitude 0.7), also in fish, will be noticed by its constant yellow-golden glow.
Under Saturn, near the horizon, the moon will be almost full, in the Aquarius’s constellation. It will seem completely lighted and even greater than usual. The only disadvantage? The brightness of the moon will completely fade Neptun’s visibility. The good part? The moon will offer a much more spectacular view!

Where and when can you see the 6 planets in 2025?

The alignment will be visible in the morning, around August 10, 2025, about one hour before the sunrise. Some places will have better conditions for visibility, as the planets go up in the sky. Mercury will be easier to visible from the southern latitudes.

Attention: High buildings or mountains can block visibility!

How to see the planetary alignment of August

To capture all 6 planets, exact synchronization is needed. Mercury will rise shortly before the sun, so the observation window is short.
