Fined for talking to the mobile phone behind the wheel. It was a refrigerator block

Floortje went to the dentist, it was not a pleasant visit – but then I even laughed because of a surprising fine of 439 euros.

Who would say that going to an appointment at the dentist would be the source of a fine of 439 euros because of an offense to the wheel that has not been committed?

It is the beginning of a confusing but real story. Happened to Floortjewhich lives in ‘S-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), one of the largest cities in the southern Netherlands.

The young Dutch went to dentist. It was not a nice visit – but then I even laughed over a surprising fine.

“I arrived home and saw it as soon as there was a fine. It was in the name of my boyfriend, but I had asked the car to borrow recently. So I thought: let me see if it was not my fault. When I opened, I saw the fine, I scared: 439 euros!“Reports itself, na.

Context: Floortje was driving on the A2 motorway, near Boxtel; I went to work; and was fined because I was with the mobile phone in the hand as he drove.

But It was not a mobile phone. It was a refrigerator blockwhich looks like an ice cuvette, which was being applied to the place where the wisdom teeth hurt because of the extraction the day before.

Still during this trip, Floortje noticed that there was a police car by her side: “I thought: I hope you don’t think I’m on the phone with that ice block on the cheek.”
