The PP demands the immediate resignation of the prosecutor: “You cannot follow another minute”
The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has reacted to the confirmation of the Supreme Court of the processing of the State Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, for the crime of revelation of secrets.
In a message in his X account, Feijóo said: “The attorney general must resign immediately. He cannot follow another minute.” And he added: “Whoever sits on the bench of the defendants cannot pursue crimes.”
The parliamentary spokeswoman of the PP, Ester Muñoz, has appeared in the lower house to review as “a real shame” that “Spain has to suffer that the one who had to pursue the crimes will sit on the bench”, alluding to the last lost resort of Álvaro García Ortiz. Muñoz has emphasized that “there is no other option” than its resignation, that “there are no more doors to open” with resources to avoid its processing by García Ortiz and has concluded that the final processing of the State Attorney General “does not happen in any country in the environment” of Spain.
