Toronto’s Masters 1000 will take place between July 27 and August 7, in Canada, and is played at the Dura court. The important tournament to add points for the world ranking also serves as preparation for US Open, fourth and last Grand Slam of the season, which will be played from the last week of August.

Alexander “Sascha” Zverev It is currently the number 3 of the ATP ranking. Son of former professional tennis players, he began his career early and already adds 24 simple titlesbesides conquering Olympic gold in Tokyo 2020 and two ATP Finals (2018 and 2021). He also founded the “Alexander Zverev Foundation” to support children with diabetes, a personal cause due to his own diagnosis in childhood.

Taylor Fritz also trained from a young age and reached his ATP number 4 in November 2024. Won so far 9 or 10 simple titlesamong them the important Indian Wells 2022 Masters 1000, and ended at US Open 2024 and ATP Final 2024.

Names like Alcaraz, Sinner and Djokovic chose not to participate in the tournament, aiming at preparing for US Open.

About the Toronto Masters 1000 Tournament

Toronto 2025 Masters 1000 will be held between July 27 and August 7 in Canada. This tournament is the sixth event of the ATP 1000 series in the men’s circuit season and is of great importance as a preparation for US Open, the fourth and last Grand Slam of the year.

With a long tradition in the tennis calendar, the Canadian competition had its first edition in 1881. Since the beginning of the open era, in 1968, the biggest champion of the tournament is Czech Ivan Lendl, who raised the trophy six times.

The most recent title belongs to Australian Alexei Popyrin, who surprised the circuit by winning in 2024 and securing the biggest feat of his career until then. In 2025, he returns to Toronto in search of the title defense.
