From the thermal spa in the East Hungarian town of Tourkeve and its surroundings, 120 people had to evacuate on Tuesday for chlorine poisoning. According to the index.hu server, this was announced by a civilian-protection office spokesman for Jasov-Seminus-Senna-Solice Stool Németh, informs TASR newsletter in Budapest.
The toxic gas, which was produced by mixing two chemicals for water purification, caused nausea to visitors to the swimming pool. According to the regional server Szoljon.hu, 14 people had to be hospitalized. A total of 120 people evacuated from the swimming pool, the apartments, camping and their surroundings.
