Colombian striker becomes a third most expensive player in the history of the Bavarians; Harry Kane and Lucas Hernández occupy the first two positions, respectively
It officially announced it on Wednesday (30) the hiring of the Colombian team striker. English champion for last season, Díaz signed a contract with the current German champion by 2029. According to the specialized press, the Bavarian club disbursed 75 million euros ($ 490 million in the current price) to have the player, the third most expensive hiring in its history. Only English (100 million euros in 2023, or R $ 538 million in the quotation of the time) and French Lucas Hernández (80 million euros, or R $ 355 million in the quote of the time) exceed the amount Bayern invested in Colombian.
“Luis Díaz is a player with international experience, of enormous quality, great skill and reliable. It will help our team a lot,” said Max Eberl, sports director of Bayern Munich. Díaz has just had his best season at Liverpool, with 17 goals scored and eight assists, participating in the achievement of the club’s 20th title.
“I’m very happy, being part of Bayern means a lot to me, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world … My goal is to win all the possible titles,” said the striker. At Bayern, Luis Díaz is expected to occupy the left side of the offensive frame and play with the Frenchman Kingsley Coman.
