The São Paulo Public Prosecution Service requested that the trial of Marcelly Peretto, Rafaela Costa and Mario Vitorino, accused of killing the merchant Igor Peretto an apartment in Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo, be performed on a popular jury.
The popular jury is formed by seven random and considered suitable people of society. According to our Constitution, willful crimes against life must be tried by the Jury Court.
The request was made in the Final allegations of MP-SP. “Marcelly and Rafaela ran directly to the crime, in all their stages, giving Mario encouragement and moral support, with whom they were previously adjusted, including the motivation (clumsy) and the means of execution of the offense (with cruelty and appeal that made the victim’s defense difficult),” the document says.
HAS CNNIgor Peretto’s defense said that “there is enough evidence that the defendants acted for clumsy, a cruel and appeal that made the victim’s defense difficult.”
Igor Peretto was stabbed and killed in August last year in an apartment in Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo. In addition to Rafaela, Marcelly Peretto and Mario Vitorino da Silva, Igor’s sister and brother -in -law, respectively, are also suspected of the crime.
According to investigations, the suspects were together at Marcelly’s apartment before Igor was found on the spot. According to the Civil Inquiry of the case and the prosecution’s complaint, the crime was planned, since Mario, Rafaela and Marcelly considered Igor a hindrance to the “love triangle”, that is, for the relationship that the three reported kept among them.

Rafaela, considered the “pivot” of the crime, would have been related to Igor’s sister before the crime. Asked, Marcelly’s defense stated that the woman reports that she was drunk and was kissed the strength and caressed by Rafaela.
After the crime, the suspects fled and tried to hide evidence, but were later arrested.
