Vienna – As a trained Austrian, it is known that registry representatives, i.e. the various chambers, are not necessarily a haven of the will to change. One example is the medical associations that the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) brought before the Federal Administrative Court. They want to bring down the ÖGK to set up a telemedicine outpatient clinic, since it was imprecise, would build dual structures and was bad for the patients. The ÖGK does not see this nearly so and promises better service for patients if they can be subjected to a first medical assessment by video call.
