In the message, the deputy says he had made it clear that his trip to the US was aimed at applying sanctions, and claims to have the “sense of mission accomplished.”

“I wanted to thank President Trump here, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and all the executive and legislature authorities who were directly involved in this decision making,” he said.

According to Eduardo, these authorities had “the sensitivity to look at Brazil and understand the various human rights violations ongoing”, without explaining what these violations would be.

He classified Moraes’ attitudes as “tyranny.” “Today I have the feeling of mission accomplished, but our journey will not end here. There are several other battles ahead. Because, you know, we are responsible for keeping our freedoms,” he said.

“This measure, let’s remember, is not the end of anything, but the first step in having enough means of rescuing our democracy, the harmony between the powers and the normality of the institutions,” he said.

Eduardo said he also hoped “that common sense will return to our country and the institutions react to rescue national democratic normality.”

The deputy and the Bolsonaro clan have been trying to approve an amnesty proposal to free convicts for participation in the attempted coup of January 8, 2023 and also benefit the former president (PL), defendant on the charges of leading the coup plot.

He finished the video wishing “God bless America” and also bless Brazil.
