Exports grow and Acre strengthens ties with the US, highlights President of the Sebrae Deliberative Council

Acre agribusiness is experiencing a moment of expansion and protagonism in the state economy. In an interview granted during Expoacre 2025, the president of the Sebrae Deliberative Council in Acre and also president of the Acre Agriculture and Livestock Federation (Faeac), ASSUERO VERONEZ, highlighted the strengthening of exports and the increasingly strategic role in the rural sector.

According to Veronez, Acre has been positioned with strength on the national and international scene. He pointed out that today, the largest export product in the state is beef, followed by soy and pork, which represents a significant change in the export agenda, previously led by wood and nuts.

The leader also drew attention to the growth of acrean exports to the United States. The participation of exported meat to the country has risen from 15% to 26% in recent years, a reflection of the fall in the American herd. Coffee, which has also gained space in acrean production, is another highlight, as half of the coffee exported by Brazil is destined for the United States.

Despite the advances, Veronez showed concern about commercial tensions between Brazil and the USA. For him, the relationship needs to be preserved, as Americans are the second largest commercial partner in the country, behind only China. “You can’t fight with the customer,” he said, warning that this type breakers bring more damage to Brazil because it is economically more vulnerable.

During the conversation, the president also stressed the importance of Sebrae in supporting entrepreneurship and local agribusiness. He stated that the institution invests strongly in Expoacre and offers structure so that small businesses can stand out. In this year’s edition, rural producers were present with more than 200 qualified genetics animals, as well as traders and agricultural companies that drive the business movement within the fair.

Veronez also recalled that the partnership between Sebrae and the Federation of Agriculture, through Senar, has promoted expressive results, especially in vocational training and technical assistance. More than two thousand rural properties are being served by programs that seek to improve productivity and ensure sustainability to the field.

Finally, he reinforced the invitation to the population to honor Expoacre. According to him, the event has grown in structure and flow of visitors, and the need to expand the space for the coming years is already discussed. “Expoacre is kind of business and means entertainment,” he said, noting that, in addition to moving the economy, the fair also offers leisure and culture to the acrean population.
