Internet users are calling, at X, a “Boicotaço” US companies from Friday (1st.ago.2025). Mobilization is a retaliation for the 50% tariff imposed by the president of the United States, Donald Trump (Republican), on Brazilian products, as it should take effect on the same date.

Negotiations
Finance Minister Fernando Haddad, this Wednesday (30.Jul) who intends to travel to the United States to personally negotiate the suspension of the tariff, If there is a “Structured agenda” on the theme. He signaled that he could be accompanied by Vice President and Minister of Industry, Geraldo Alckmin.
Haddad said he tries to contact US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. According to the minister, Bessent is in Europe and has not served directly, but there is communication with his team.
The president’s government (PT) faces difficulties to advance in negotiations with Washington. To date, Brazilian diplomatic investers have not resulted in concrete measures to reverse the tariff:
