Martin Pospíšil remains in Calgary: He extended the contract by three years

Slovak hockey striker Martin Pospíšil signed a new three -year contract with Calgary Flames. The contract will come into effect from the 2026/27 season and will give it $ 2.5 million a year. After its expiration, it can become an unlimited free player in July 2029.

Pospíšil has had two seasons in the first team of Calgary, which drafted him in 2018. In the past year 2024/25 played 81 matches of the regular season, in which he scored 25 Canadian points for 4 goals and 21 assists. Part of the season was played in the first Flames formation. His average ice time was 13:48 min. It was a minute more than in his newcomer season 2023/24. He had 8 goals and 16 assists in 63 duels.

In February 2024, he signed a two -year contract with Calgary with an average annual salary of $ 1 million. This contract will also pay him in the following year 2025/26, after which he could become a limited free player.
