Demosters have attacked an unidentified group of attackers
The demonstrators were first attacked by eggs and tomatoes and later water from the hoses. The police did not identify the attackers who were connected to the CIS. However, according to APA, the demonstrators assumed that there were members of the group in the premises of the party’s headquarters who expelled students from the University of New Pazarus on Tuesday.
The unidentified group of rapists drove students from the premises of the local university. University students had blocked the university as a protest sign. The struggles also occurred in front of the building between students, police and citizens against the government. The police detained four people in this context.
Demonstrators demand the declaration of early parliamentary elections
On Tuesday evening, sessions were held in several Serbian cities as a sign of solidarity with students. The pro -government media had previously described them as “Islamists”. Novi Pazar is a region in Serbia, which lives mostly Bosniac and Muslim population, APA specifies.
Students and other demonstrators demand the announcement of early parliamentary elections in Serbia from the beginning of May. President Aleksandar Vučić repeatedly refused.
Demonstration supporters have faced various forms of attacks in the past period. All windows of the local pizzeria and previously in the fish shop in Šabac were broken in the West Srba city of Valjevo this week. Their owners support protests.
The Serbian government has found itself under massive pressure in connection with the protests
The trigger of the political crisis in the country was the collapse of a concrete shelter at the railway station in Novi Sad of November 1, 2024, which claimed 16 victims of life.
Although the originally almost everyday mass protests have focused on clarifying the cause of the accident, they are currently directed against the government of President Vučić and against extensive corruption in the country. Protests are mainly led by students who block universities and organize massive protest gatherings.
The Serbian government has found itself under massive pressure in connection with the protests; Vučič increasingly describes them as funded from abroad, adds APA.
