Scholarship politicians celebrated, on Wednesday (30), the president against, of the (Supreme Federal Court), through the
Parliamentarians returned to defend the minister’s impeachment in and began to thank (-SP) for the “big day”, as the deputy campaigned with authorities in the US to exert pressure on the amnesty of (PL).
Less than two hours later, however, about Brazilian products – but that divides members of the PL and is seen by some allies as a shot in the foot of Eduardo, as the surcharge.
The tariff gained less prominence in the pockets and was quickly treated as a failure of (). The speech is that, although the US president lins the measure to he sees as a persecution of Moraes to Bolsonaro.
The president of, (-PB), but not mentioning the minister. “As a sovereign country we cannot support any type of sanction by foreign nations directed to members of any power made up of the Republic,” he said.
Among the PL deputies, the sanction to the minister was read as a confirmation that the country does not live a democracy, as the abuse of authority, the violation of human rights and the censorship against the Bolsonarists were attested by Americans.
“[Moraes] tore the constitution. He stepped in due process of law. He silent Brazilians, censored journalists, arrested without crime. […] And what the Brazilian Senate did not have the courage to do… the US did tightly, “wrote the PL leader in the House, Sostenes Cavalcante (RJ).
Regarding the tariff, Sostenes stated that “Lula sank Brazil”. “Lula tried to transform a diplomatic error into political narrative. But the facts are irrefutable: this tariff is a direct result of the hostile and ideological posture adopted by the Brazilian government.”
In the same line, Deputy Eduardo Pazuello (PL-RJ) stated that “the petista government put Brazil on its knees”. “While Brazil sinks into ideology, who pays the bill is the rural producer, the industry, the job and the people,” he said.
Behind the scenes, however, members of the party admit that amnesty to the suspects of coup and the impeachment of Moraes, although they gained strength in militancy on Wednesday from Trump’s actions ,.
One of the main spokesmen of Bolsonarism, the deputy (PL-MG) said he filed a new impeachment request. “If the Federal Senate does not submit Alexandre de Moraes to the impeachment process, the people will submit the senators to the process of electoral disapproval at the polls,” he said. The tariff, however.
“It is symbolic, and striking, that one of the greatest democracies in the world has recognized the alarming signs of authoritarianism from our own Supreme Court,” wrote Nikolas.
“Our focus remains: broad amnesty to the political prisoners of January 8, approval of PEC 333 [fim do foro privilegiado] and the impeachment of Alexandre de Moraes. […] When the truth goes beyond borders, it is a sign that we are not alone, “he added.
Leader of the New Party, Deputy Marcel Van Hattem (RS) charged Motta and Senate President (-AP), impeachment and a CPI for Moraes to be held responsible for Congress “for all abuses, illegalities and evil.”
“Magnitsky law is a legitimate, necessary and urgent response against authoritarianism that, under the false pretext of protecting democracy, violates individual rights, pursues opponents, criticism and transforms Brazil into international shame,” wrote Deputy Alexandre Ramagem (PL-RJ).
Deputy Luiz Philippe de Orleans and Bragança (PL-SP) called Moraes a “human rights violator” and attributed the sanction to the activism of Eduardo Bolsonaro. Deputy Julia Zanatta (PL-SC) posted a video releasing fireworks, but also ignored the tariff.
Already on the left, which has been betting on the speech of sovereignty, the sanction to the minister was considered an attack on the nation. Petistas classified the measure as intimidation of the judiciary and blackmail. The party leader in the House, (PT), asked Motta to revoke Eduardo Bolsonaro.
“To defend Minister Alexandre de Moraes is to defend Brazil, the independence of the judiciary, democracy and national sovereignty against the attempt to submit us as a colony,” Lindbergh published.
Regarding the tariff, besides sovereignty, the answer was that the Lula government succeeded and managed to make Trump back off ,.
“It is an unacceptable blackmail that uses the new fare […] As a weapon to force the country to amnesty scammers and traitors of the homeland. The action is coordinated with the sanction applied against Moraes and opens the offensive: an imperialist, extraterritorial and illegal action, “added Lindbergh.
Representative Natalia Bonavides (PT-RN) claimed to be shameful that Brazilian politicians applaud the sanction to Moraes: “They became cheerleaders of a gringo who wants to send in our country.” For Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP), Trump “widens the intention to interfere in Brazil: blackmail, economic boycott and attack on justice”.
Moraes was also defended by the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, ().
“First of all Alexandre de Moraes is a Brazilian citizen. […] Minister Moraes has, in my view, hits and errors, but we cannot agree that another country try to interfere with our institutions imposing sanctions on its members, “he published.
Asked about the new sanction of the US government, the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), said this is a political, non -economic measure, if the 50% rates imposed by Donald Trump.
“He [Trump] It is dissatisfied with the Brazilian government. He should have retaliated who rules Brazil, as they are doing now, not Brazilians, who are millions, who are serious and hardworking people, “Zema said, criticizing the tariff.
