Country regulatory agency summoned the US company to provide clarifications on security failures of its products
The CAC (acronym for administration of China of China) summoned this Thursday (31.Jul.2025) AA provides clarifications on safety failures identified in its H20 chips – uses by Chinese companies that develop AI (Artificial Intelligence) models.
According to the Chinese regulatory agency, the product of the United States company presented “Serious risks of vulnerability”which could even lead to problems such as tracking and remote shutdown of the devices.
“Recently, Nvidia’s high -performance computing chips were reported as containing serious safety vulnerabilities.”said CAC in a statement on its official Wechat profile. Here A (PDF – 58 KB).
The purchase of Nvidia’s H20 chips was negotiated in the trade war between China and the US. The White House had prohibited the sale of products to the Asian country in April.
In July, after a conversation between the company’s president, Jensen Huang, and White House Chief Donald Trump (Republican Party). The release of the sale of the chips was also one.
