Eisbär on Spitzbergen shot due to attacks on residents

Longyearbyen – an polar bear has been shot on Spitzbergen. According to the local authorities, the police were reported to prevent the predator’s attack on a group of residents at the Kongsfjord in the northwest of the Norwegian archipelago. The top official of Spitzbergen, the so -called sysselmester Lars Fause, initiated an investigation into the course of the incident.
