The former Minister of Health said on Thursday (31) that the government adopts two pesos and two measures by silencing about the (Federal Supreme Court), to show the finger to fans.
Moraes was on Wednesday night (30) in the game of, in São Paulo. He was seen waving to the public. The Estado de S. Paulo newspaper published a photo of a moment when Moraes also made an obscene gesture with the middle finger of his right hand.
The trip to the game occurred hours after the STF minister was sanctioned by with the, usually employed against dictators and other human rights violators.
Queiroga was punished in December 2024 by former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in New York, in an episode in September 2021.
The former minister recognizes that, that year, reacted “inappropriately”. “And I recognized my mistake publicly,” he says.
Queiroga also talks about selective use of the public machine. “The ethics committee, under a government that does not excel in ethics and whose leader was convicted in multiple instances of the judiciary, decided to punish me-while acquitting others, including a former ministry colleague that acted similarly. Two weights, two measures,” he says.
The former minister says Moraes has incurred the same mistake. “It reacts with aggressiveness and uncontrolled in the face of provocations abroad,” he says. “However, the repercussion is minimal, silence is evident. There is no talk of censorship, much less punishment.”
“The truth is that, for those who do not bend to the system, the harsh letter of the law applies. To the allies of power, the cloak of selective protection is worth it,” he continues. “What is at stake is not only the unequal treatment between authorities, but the credibility of the institutions that should serve the Republic – not to a power project.”
