The beheaded corpse of a man, of African and unidentified origin, was discovered on Wednesday morning in a Alley near the D. Maria II National Theaterat Rossio, in Lisbon. The body was found by a work vigilante in the courtyard of Salema, a close artery of the Portuguese capital known for hosting homeless and being the scene of consumption and drug trafficking.
The Judicial Police (PJ) immediately assumed the investigation, not discarding the hypothesis of a account adjustment related to territorial disputes in the trafficking of narcotics. According to the body, the body had no significant traces of blood, indicating that the beheading may have occurred elsewhere. Nor were clear signs of violent aggression, the autopsy in charge of determining the exact causes of death.
Authorities are now concentrated on the analysis of the surrounding area, such as the courtyard of Salema, adjacent to São Domingos and linked to Martim Moniz, which is known for its social vulnerability and crime.
PJ is analyzing the possible connection of this crime to other episodes Of violence in the capital, namely the murder of Antenor Mendonça, an 85 -year -old man, killed by a Gambian citizen in February this year in Campo Grande.
