The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), condemned on Wednesday night (29) the sanction of the United States against Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court (Supreme Court).
Hugo stated that “as a sovereign country we cannot support any kind of sanction by foreign nations addressed to members of any power constituted from the Republic. This is valid for all parliamentarians, members of the executive and ministers of the higher courts.”
Brazilian democracy is sustained by three powers – executive, legislative and judiciary – that must act with independence and harmony, as established by the Constitution.
