Operation against Magistv platform resulted in 5 search warrants in 3 provinces and detention orders against scheme operators
Argentine authorities served 5 search and seizure warrants against the illegal magistv platform in 3 provinces of the country on Thursday (24.Jul.2025).
The operation, coordinated by (National Professional Futbol League of Spain) and Alianza (Alianza against Piratería), included detention orders issued by Argentine court against one of the largest IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) pirate Latin American IPTV (Internet Protocol) networks.
Magistv is considered one of the most widespread illegal IPTV illegal networks in the region. Two UV Mundo Digital establishments, an internet provider with units in Trelew and Rawson, Chubut Province, were the target of the operation for selling devices with access to Magistv Pro, simulating legitimate cable TV services.
The UV Digital Mundo, despite being registered with ENACOM (Argentine National Communicaciones entity) and a member of Cabase (Argentine Chamber of the Internet), traded illegal service signatures in physical stores and social networks, simulating legality.
The searches began simultaneously at distribution points of the illegal service in the provinces of Chubut, Mendoza and Rio Negro. The Argentine Federal Police and local forces of San Isidro, General Roca, Mendoza, Rawson and Viedma participated in the action. Free market and paid market collaborated by providing essential information to the investigation.
