Cambridge (Massachusetts)-The low demand for covid-19 vaccines forces the US Biotech Group Moderna to a hard austerity course. The company announced on Thursday to delete around 10 percent of its positions. “We will probably employ fewer than 5,000 people by the end of the year,” said CEO Stephane Bancel of the workforce. At the beginning of the year, Moderna announced that the operating costs would be up to $ 1.7 billion (1.5 billion euros) by 2027.
