The Federal Supreme Court (STF) Minister ordered the Attorney General of the Union (AGU) to take the “appropriate and necessary measures” to extradite the Federal Deputy (PL-SP). The parliamentarian was arrested on Tuesday (29), in Italy. The Federal Police reported the arrest to the STF the next day. Zambelli also has Italian citizenship and traveled to the European country after being sentenced to 10 years in prison for the invasion of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) system.
“Considering the communication of the arrest of the defendant Carla Zambelli Salgado de Oliveira in the Italian Republic, the Union Attorney General’s Office is to accompany and adopt the appropriate and necessary measures related to the defendant’s extradition process,” Moraes wrote in order on Thursday (31). The magistrate had already determined that the Supreme Court will send the necessary documents to the Ministry of Justice to request the extradition of Zambelli.
