He decided to expel Deputy Antonio Carlos Rodrigues (SP) for having, in the party’s understanding, attacked the president of, responsible for the 50% tariff to Brazilian products and financial sanctions against the minister.
Both measures were taken after a campaign of (PL-SP) in the US to save the former president (PL), who responds in the (Supreme Court) for attempted coup, among other crimes.
Despite defending freedom of expression, the party complied with pressure from the bench, according to a statement by the PL president ,.
“The pressure of our bench was very large. Our parliamentarians understand that attacking US President Donald Trump is an ignorance without size,” says the text.
“Trump is the president of the strongest country in the world. What we need is of diplomacy and dialogue, not cheap populism, which only hinders the development of our nation. Enough of arranging confusion. We have to fix Brazil,” says the text.
Antonio Carlos Rodrigues is in the first term in the House, was Minister of Transport in Management () and was a councilman in São Paulo for four terms. He was sought by the report, but did not respond until the publication.
