The German corner is closed in August, train journeys take around two hours longer – and that’s just the beginning

Between August 2 and 18, it becomes critical of the much -frequent German corner. “Due to the construction work of the Deutsche Bahn (DB) there is a lock of the routes,” the ÖBB announces on its website. “The long -distance traffic of the ÖBB via the corridor route is partly diverted in a large scale or handled by buses in rail replacement traffic.” From next Wednesday, connections between Salzburg, Innsbruck, Bregenz, Zurich and Munich will be affected.
