The Slovak municipality warns citizens: A bear was repeatedly observed in the area!

Near the village of Gôtovany in the area of Gôtovanská bay, between Gôtovanský and Sokolčiansky Grove, in the district of Liptovský Mikuláš was repeatedly observed bear. The village informed on Wednesday (30 July) on the social network.

“The bear was last seen when riding a citizen on a bicycle and near the construction of the fencing near the Sokolčianske Grove, at a distance of only about ten meters. According to the findings so far, bears regularly go to the bay from nearby Hajik, and therefore there is a high probability of a bear in this locality”They warned from the village.

The municipality asks citizens and visitors not to move in this area. It is recommended to avoid recreational activities around Bay and Hájov. “We are dealing with the situation, the intervention team was sent to the site,” added.
