Most Brazilians consider the precautionary measures imposed by Minister Alexandre de Moraes (STF) to former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) ,. This is what a clipping of the Datafolha survey released on Friday (1st), amidst the escalation of the political and diplomatic crisis caused by the sanctions announced by the United States against Brazil.
According to the survey, 55% of respondents approve of the Supreme’s decision, even percentage of those who claim to believe that Bolsonaro intended to leave the country before being tried for the coup attempt. Another 41% disapprove of measures and 4% could not answer.
The restrictions were determined by Moraes on July 18 ,. These include: prohibition of use of social networks, restriction of circulation at night and weekends, and use of electronic anklet.

The minister assessed that there was a concrete risk of escape, as the former president is a defendant at the Supreme Court and his son, Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), has been directly acted in the US against Brazilian institutions.
The research shows that the perception of the attempted escape follows the support of the measures: 55% believe that the former president planned to leave Brazil; 36% disagree and 10% did not opine.
The survey was conducted on July 29 and 30 with 2,004 people in 130 municipalities. The margin of error is two percentage points.
