The Mato Grosso Civil Police arrested, on the morning of Thursday (31), a 24-year-old man definitively convicted for the crime of rape of vulnerable committed in the state of Acre. The arrest was held in Rondonópolis, from warrant issued after judgment with res judicata.

The action was conducted by the Specialized Women’s Defense Police Station. After receiving the court order, the investigation team conducted steps to identify and locate the fugitive.
With the whereabouts confirmed, the police made the arrest and sent the man to the 1st Police Station, where the appropriate legal proceedings were adopted.
The arrest is part of Operation Shamar 2025, a national initiative focused on the protection of women in situations of domestic violence and the prevention of femicide.
Throughout August, the actions of the operation will be intensified throughout the country, in reference to the 19th anniversary of the Maria da Penha Law, sanctioned on August 7, 2006, one of the main legal frameworks in combating violence against women.
