A passport photo is not an ordinary photography. You have to prepare for it properly so that they do not send us back in the office. Every detail counts – from clothes, through makeup, to accessories. Everything must be well thought out.
At the beginning we will focus on the appropriate dress for the passport photo. It does not have to be a gala dress, but neat, every day and one that does not notice. So it’s better to avoid blouses with patterns, prints and a hoodiebecause they divert attention from the face. In such a situation, an official may not accept our application.
We also recommend to avoid putting on bright clothes – white, beige, cream or light gray. Photos for are taken on a bright background, which is why blouses in similar shades can blend with it, which makes it difficult to recognize the figure.
So how do you get clothes for a passport photo? It is best if we choose a blouse or a shirt in a dark, subdued color, e.g. navy blue, dark green, dark grace, burgundy, black. Remember to make it smooth without patterns.
The face in the passport photo must be visible. That is why the photographer asks us to direct it straight, keep her natural expression and have your mouth closed.
Makeup should be natural, matte and not cautious. It is worth using matting powder so that the face will not shine.
What about jewelry? Is it allowed at all? We can have small earrings that do not cover the face. However, large, hanging decorations, e.g. wheels and massive necklaces, are forbidden. Such elements will cause not only the reflection of light, but also difficulties in recognizing a person.
Let us also remember that it is not allowed to put on a passport of headgear (except for religious ones), bands or sunglasses. The hairstyle should not cover the face either.
