The Minister of Forestry and Rural Management of the Board of Extremadura, Ignacio Higuero, has presented his resignation after being accused of falsifying his curriculum. Higuero sent a letter to President Extremadura on Thursday, María Guardiola, requesting her decline. The until now counselor, was appointed by Vox in replacement of Limia Camino during the coalition executive, but after the rupture of the Government Pact, left the ranks of the Santiago Abascal party and remained in office.
The Government of the Board of Extremadura will perform the resignation of Higuero proceeding to its cessation, as reported in a statement. The matter will be incorporated into the agenda of an extraordinary session of the Governing Council that will be held this morning, and in which the appointment of the person who will happen to Higuero will also be approved as head of the Ministry of Forest Management and Rural World.
Ignacio Higuero, explained that it is “a responsible decision” and that it does not want to “cause any damage to the regional government.” He also thanked the confidence of the president of the Board and the treatment of her classmates, which has allowed her to work at the service of the citizens of Extremadura, especially in the rural environment, according to the Board in a statement.
